Mikveh

לִפְנֵי מִי אַתֶּם מִטַּהֲרִין
וּמִי מְטַהֵר אֶתְכֶם,
אֲבִיכֶם שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם,

The Mikveh is a fundamental part of the life of a Jewish community: by bathing in it, in fact, one purifies oneself.
Rabbi Aqiva’ said:  Blessed are you Israel, before whom you purify yourselves, and who purifies you. Your Father who is in heaven!

Our Mikveh is located in a small building next to the Synagogue, inside the garden, in a context of total privacy. It was completely renovated in 2018, under the supervision of Rav Meir and Rav Spagnoletto.
It is presented in a simple way and with a room for preparing the tevillà, with all the necessary accessories available and complete with a bathtub.
The Florentine Mikveh has also welcomed people from all over the world, as well as being available for all practices that require immersion in water, of people or objects, to regain ritual purity.
The importance of the Mikveh to Jewish life means that it is often built even before the Synagogue itself and must be carefully maintained.

That is why we have decided to open a fund, open to anyone who wants to contribute and support the maintenance ofour simple but elegant Mikveh, in case certain works need to be done or if there is a need change the accessories available to people for the preparation of the tevillà.
Every contribution will be precious and will allow to better accompany people who need it for their ritual bath.

You can access the Mikveh by appointment with at least 24 hours’ notice. For info or reservations, please contact by email mikvefirenze@gmail.com or by phone +393384506350.
