Talmud Torah

Jewish education represents an important commitment for the Jewish Community of Florence.
Talmud Torah teachers, together with our Rabbi Gadi Piperno and Board Member Costanza Castelnuovo Tedesco, gathered to plan the curriculum, activities, trips, and all educational opportunities for our children for the upcoming year.
The program includes the curricular organization on Wednesdays and preparation for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, several Shabbaton events designed to welcome families and strengthen the bond between the children, and a theater course—an experience much loved in previous years that we wish to continue.
A Kosher MasterChef course has also been included in the program, featuring some of the best cooks from our Community, with the aim of passing down an excellent culinary tradition.
Several trips within Italy are planned, as well as an international trip for our older students.
For the summer period, we have planned a summer camp, and we wish to support participation in other Jewish camps.
The goal of this ambitious project is to offer our children the best possible experiences in terms of education and recreation. Talmud Torah has always been a place of instruction that complements school education, providing Jewish learning in preparation for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.
Beyond being an educational reference point, our Community’s new Jewish education project aims to lay the foundation for a future interconnected community, where children can work, study, and play together, fostering strong and lasting relationships.
The estimated annual cost for curricular and extracurricular activities is €70,000, and we invite you to contribute to the project!
